Why Counselling?

Why engage in Counselling?

We may not always be able to change or control the pieces that have been handed to us, but many times, talking can shift our perspective, offer a new lens or open space for resolve, ease or something different in our lives.

We are human and in our humaneness, we fall down and get up again. We may not always have the bandwidth or space to fully repair ourselves but we do not have to suffer on our own with our burdens.

Processing our challenges alone or with friends and family can be helpful, but often we lack the skills and tools to make meaningful progress without professional assistance. Ask yourself:Are my current strategies working?

Deciding to talk to a therapist can be hard and feel extremely vulnerable. It can also be hard to find the time to schedule something for ourselves when life is busy BUT it can be an important step in changing old habits and creating a new path forward.

Therapy is work. With that work, we can unearth new and beautiful change in the rugged landscape of our lives.

Starting therapy can feel like a big bold change or a little ripple wave in a pond. Either way, it can be an opportunity to get to know a deeper version of yourself.

Work with a therapist can support you in your individual, family and relationship journey.

Sometimes the hardest and most vulnerable step toward change can be the one that matters most.
